Alabama: 2 More County Politicians Switch to Republican Side
Image via WikipediaCalhoun County’s circuit clerk said this week he intends to switch to the Republican Party, the latest in a string of local politicians to renounce their Democratic affiliations since Republicans took control of the state Legislature in November.
Circuit Clerk Ted Hooks announced during a county Republican Party meeting Monday that he plans to run for re-election in 2012 as a Republican. Hooks had been a Democrat since 1994 when he first ran for circuit clerk.
