The Real Clear Politics Average shows McCain leading the majority of recent polls in this battleground state. One poll by the National Journal shows him leading by 7 pts.
And this is not even among likely voters, it is just among registered voters.
(Republicans usually do better in likely voter polls than in registered voter polls).
