Senator Vitter Trying to Ban Automatic Pay Raises for Congress

"This system of auto-pilot pay raises really is offensive to the American people," Vitter, of Metairie, said on the Senate floor Monday. "It would simply say if we want a raise, we have to talk about it and then have an actual vote."
