The party of tolerance strikes again in New Hampshire. According to the spokesperson of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, Harrell Kirstien, the speech below by state Rep. David Bates is an attempt to impose a new theocracy on the US. That may come as a surprise to most Christians who attend church and hear the same message of sin, redemption, and the need for atonement and prayer just about every Sunday. In response, a conservative political group has demanded an apology from the Democrats for Kirstien’s “bigotry.” Watch the video and see just where Bates calls for a government imposition of prayer vigils:
Look out Iowa, South Carolina and New Hampshire. Republicans in the nation's biggest swing state are preparing to weigh in on their party's presidential nominee as early as fall 2011.
The concept: a non-binding Floridastraw poll at a massive event billed as ``Presidency V,'' which would also feature a nationally televised presidential debate. The plan, still in its infancy, enjoyed wide support from Republican Party of Florida leaders at its quarterly meeting last weekend.
Ayotte also outraised Hodes in the last quarter, which ended Sept. 30. Ayotte raised nearly $1.35 million, while Hodes raised about $811,000. The disparity becomes even greater when outside groups - which spend money independently of a candidate - are taken into account. So far, third-party groups have spent more than $4 million against Hodes or for Ayotte.
"Kelly's message is resonating with voters, and that's showing up on financial reports and in the grassroots, in the numbers of volunteers and the enthusiasm for her campaign," said Ayotte campaign manager Brooks Kochvar.
New Hampshire has certified former state Attorney General Kelly Ayotte (AY'-aht) as the winner of the Republican primary for U.S. Senate.
Ayotte was endorsed by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and won a narrow victory over Ovide Lamontagne (LAH'-mohn-tayn). His conservative credentials and courting of the tea party pulled him close in the final days of the campaign.
