Republicans More Than Double Generic Poll Lead From a Month Ago

Likely voters prefer Republican congressional candidates over Democrats by 7 percentage points in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll out Wednesday — up 4 percentage points from a month ago.

Republicans hold a 50 percent to 43 percent lead among likely voters in the generic ballot matchup, a measure asking voters whether they'd prefer to vote for a Democrat or a Republican for Congress.
