Alabama: Yet Another Democrat Switches Parties

Marshall County District Attorney Steve Marshall has become the latest local Democratic elected official in Marshall County to switch parties.
Marshall, the county's chief prosecutor for 10 years, announced Thursday that he had joined the Republican Party, The Sand Mountain Reporter reported. Marshall's move leaves only four Democrats in local elected offices. They are Probate Judge Tim Mitchell, Sheriff Scott Walls, Coroner Marlon Killion and Marshall County Board of Education member Frank Reed, the newspaper reported.
