grade of F. The county delegation's only Republican, N.C. Sen. Wesley
Meredith, received an A.
The rankings come from Civitas Action, the political arm of the John W. Pope Civitas Institute in Raleigh.
Civitas Action graded the lawmakers based on dozens of votes on issues of importance to the organization. Here is a sampling:
Reform annexation laws by giving residents more voice and holding government more accountable.
Expand abortion regulations.
Support holding a referendum on a marriage amendment in May.
