The poll, which found Obama at 44 percent and McCain at 43 percent, supports what some Republicans and Democrats privately have said in recent days: that the race narrowed after the third debate as GOP-leaning voters drifted home to their party and McCain's "Joe the plumber" analogy struck a chord.
Three weeks ago, an AP-GfK survey found that Obama had surged to a seven-point lead over McCain, lifted by voters who thought the Democrat was better suited to lead the nation through its sudden economic crisis.

Any thoughts on the other polls relased today that show 5 to 10 point leads for Obama? There are 8 of them.
ReplyDeleteOh... didn't you know? All of those "other" polls are biased.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, any news source that says something positive about Obama has a liberal bias.
Evil liberals. Evil, evil liberals!
Seriously, "Joe the plumber" is only 1 American. His vote counts the same as all the rest of us. McCain's appeal didn't hit home for me. I'm not a plumber!
And none of us should feel sorry for plumbers. They are immune to economic downturns. While you can reduce the amount you spend eating out, or going to the movies or any number of other things... when you need a plumber, you need a plumber. You can't ignore the problem.
Plus these guys charge more per hour than a typical physician.
