What do Bart Simpson, Family Guy, Daffy Duck, King Kong, O.J. Simpson, and Raela Odinga have in common?
All are celebrities; and with the exception of Odinga and O.J. Simpson, they also are fictional characters. And yet, all of them gave money earlier this month to the campaign of Barack Obama, without any apparent effort by the campaign to screen them out as suspect donors.

Why this is a non-issue:
ReplyDelete1. Campaigns are not required to provide details of donors if the donated amount is less than $200
2. Did the $5 come from a fictional character... probably not. The money came from a real person who gave less than $200 and opted not to provide their information.
3. It is quite possible that these donations were "plants" that are designed to try and create an issue out of this.
Here's a real issue for you... Sarah Palin using $150,000 worth of money from the RNC to dress herself for a rally.
Here's another real issue... Sarah Palin implying that states that vote against her are "unpatriotic." That sounds a bit unamerican to me.
