Now if you take the official partisan breakdown of Colorado and use the poll numbers from PPP for each candidate’s total in each party, you would get a result of Obama 45%-McCain 44%. Within the margin of error for sure, but why wouldn’t the pollster make sure to match the actual partisan breakdown of the state, especially when that figure is readily available?
