Squishy Republican Kathleen Parker Threatens to Quit CNN Show

Image by Getty Images via @daylifeHooker aficionado Elliot Spitzer is apparently driving Kathleen Parker nuts because of his power grabs on their show. She is tired of being used like a pair of black socks.

Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker actually stormed off the set of the "Parker Spitzer" show during a pre-taping a few weeks ago -- furious that her co-host is continually allowed to take charge of their nightly CNN chat-fest, the insiders said.
Although still fuming, Parker did return to wrap up the segment, they said.
But she's angry that the show's producers are allegedly doing nothing to play up her strengths on the ailing show, the sources said.

Virginia: Cuccinelli's Star Keeps Rising

Cuccinelli (R), whose supporters waved the yellow "Don't Tread on Me" flag as they helped nominate him for office at last year's state Republican convention, drew a sustained ovation when he took the microphone at an afternoon panel on federalism.
"I don't think there'd be a tea party if the Republican Party had been a party of limited government in the first part of this decade," Cuccinelli said to cheers.

Democrat Controlled Media Accidentally Driving Obama/Muslim Rumor

In this study, the researchers looked at media coverage of the rumor from June 1, 2008 through Election Day, November 4.

They examined coverage on seven major television networks – ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox, MSNBC, NBC and PBS's News Hour with Jim Lehrer. They also examined coverage of the rumor in more than 25 newspapers around the country, including USA Today, the New York Times and the Washington Post.

The researchers employed a relatively new approach to determine how often Americans were using the Web to search for information about the rumor. They used Google Trends, a service of the online search company Google, which can be used to track how often particular search terms are entered into the search site.

Virginia: Smears by Deeds Only Increase McDonnell Lead by 1

Has Bob McDonnell, the Republican nominee for governor of Virginia in the Nov. 3 election, suffered much political damage over some controversial social policy views he expressed in a graduate thesis 20 years ago?

A Rasmussen Reports survey conducted Sept. 1, two days after McDonnell's thesis was first reported by The Washington Post, suggests that he has not, at least for now.

The revelation is the latest in a litany that has come to light since the summer. It was disclosed that Mr. Rangel was paying below-market rents on four Harlem apartments. One, which he has since given up, was illegally used as a campaign office. He owed taxes on at least $75,000 in rental income on a vacation home in the Dominican Republic. (He has since paid $10,800 to the IRS and New York State for three tax years and has hired a forensic accountant to determine how much he owes for the remaining 17 years.) Mr. Rangel underreported the value of a condominium he and his wife owned in Florida. He neglected to fully account on House travel disclosure forms for some privately sponsored trips. And he used his official stationary to ask for meetings to discuss his eponymous school of public service with titans of business and philanthropy.

Even Washington Post Admits Palins Saved McCain From Worse Loss

Love her or loathe her, the data appear somewhere close to conclusive that Palin did little to help -- and, in fact, did some to hurt -- McCain's attempts to reach out to independents and Democrats. But just because Palin doesn't appear to have helped McCain move to the middle doesn't mean that picking her was the wrong move.

Remember where McCain found himself this past summer. He had won the Republican nomination, but the GOP base clearly felt little buy-in into his campaign. A slew of national polls reflected that energy gap, with Democrats revved up about the election and their candidate and Republicans somewhere between tepid and glum.

Enter Palin, who was embraced with a bear hug by the party's conservative base. All of a sudden, cultural conservatives were thrilled at the chance to put "one of their own" in the White House. In fact, of the 60 percent of voters who told exit pollsters that McCain's choice of Palin was a "factor" in their final decision, the Arizona senator won 56 percent to 43 percent.

For skittish conservatives looking for more evidence that McCain understood their needs and concerns, Palin did the trick. It's hard to imagine conservatives rallying to McCain -- even to the relatively limited extent that they did -- without Palin on the ticket. And without the base, McCain's loss could have been far worse.

ABC & Washington Post Release VERY Slanted Poll

They decided to help their boy Obama out by giving him a 16 pt. lead to start with...

Sample:

And guess what? The poll shows Obama leading by 9 pts!
What a surprise.

They oversample Democrats by 16 pts, and Obama only leads by 9.
So this is actually bad news for Obama because he can not hold onto people who lean toward the Democrats.
But... you will only hear about the 9 pt lead in the news.

You are unlikely to hear about how far out of the way ABC News and the Washington post went to ensure a larger Obama lead. Also, with such a bias in the poll, shouldn't Obama be winning by close to 16 pts? They gave him such a huge unfair advantage and Obama can only come up with a 9 pt lead?

Lets see if in the next ABC News/Washington Post poll they make up for this by giving McCain a 16 pt advantage.
I doubt it.

Good Example of Media's Liberal Bias

Here is an article about which states may switch parties in the next presidential election. Of course, since it is from the Washington Post they say that 8 states can switch to the Dem side and only 2 can switch to the GOP. So according to this story, John McCain has no chance of winning:
