Nevada: Kate Marshall Has Another Oops Moment

Kate Marshall, Nevada State TreasurerImage via WikipediaThe bumbling Kate Marshall campaign accidentally included a paragraph in a press release that it was supposed to delete. It explained how the Marshall campaign should pander to Republicans by claiming that she supports Israel.

From Hotair: Background: Israel has been in the news lately, and will be even more in the news with [Glen] Beck’s “Rally to Restore Courage” in Jerusalem. In an R district, it will be useful to express support for Israel and demonstrate some foreign policy prowess while it is a timely topic – especially for people who are likely paying attention to Beck’s event.

Nevada: Early Voting Disproportionally Positive for Republicans

In Clark County, there were actually more Democrats at the polls than Republicans, but not as many as there usually are — 46/39 this year compared to a 46/33 split in the county’s registration rolls. And virtually all of the rural counties in the state outside Clark and Washoe are expected to go heavily for Angle, so these are the two where Dingy Harry needs to bank a big lead.

Nevada: Harry Reid in Trouble for 2010

Sen. Reid, perhaps the most-vulnerable Democrat who will face re-election in a midterm race that is likely to favor his party once again, began interviewing campaign managers last week. The Senate majority leader also recently stepped up fund-raising.

Starting early could help Sen. Reid avoid the fate of his predecessor, Tom Daschle, who was Democratic leader for a decade before losing his re-election bid in South Dakota in 2004. The current Republican leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, narrowly won re-election in Kentucky this year.

Nevada: Early Voting Shows McCain Probably Takes the State

Now, yesterday's headline might have been a little hyperbolic — it's still possible that massive numbers of Nevada Republicans stay home, or that massive numbers of Nevada Republicans vote for Obama. But right now, a huge advantage in terms of which party shows up for early voting has translated to a surprisingly modest lead for Obama. Unless there is something glaringly off-base about these numbers, then McCain will carry Nevada on Tuesday, as long If pro-McCain Republicans show up and vote.
Campaign Spot

And there's the caveat: If Republicans show up. If they pull another 2006, they get what they deserve. If it's like 2004, 2002 or 2000, McCain and America wins.

Nevada: McCain Retakes Lead, 48 to 45

The race for Nevada’s Electoral College votes remains close, but for the fourth time in the last five months John McCain has a slight advantage. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey shows McCain attracting 45% of the vote while Obama earns 42%.

This is the third straight month to find Obama’s support at the 42% level. Two months ago, McCain was at 45%, but his support slipped to 40% in July.

When “leaners” are included in the current Nevada totals, McCain is on top 48% to 45%.

Nevada: Giuliani Leads Hillary by 7 pts.

In a hypothetical general-election matchup, Giuliani would beat Clinton 51% to 44%.

The poll showed Clinton also trailing Thompson 44-50 and GOP voters' third preference, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, 43-49.
